About these dragon pages
Dragons work for every age. Little ones love the easy pages: a round baby dragon sitting up or hatching from a cracked egg, with thick lines and big spaces. The medium pages show friendly dragons flying over mountains or curled up asleep on a pile of treasure. The detailed dragons, with rows of scales and wide wings, are best for kids 9 and up, teens and adults.
Scales take patience, so try coloring them in bands: one color along the back, a lighter one on the belly. Wings look great with a darker edge and a lighter middle. There's no wrong color for a dragon: green and red are classic, but purple, gold or rainbow dragons are just as good.
A dragon page is also a good story starter. Ask your child where their dragon lives, what it guards, and what its name is, then write the answer at the bottom. Dinosaur pages make a good next step.
