About the flag of Togo
What it means: The five stripes stand for Togo's five regions. Green is forests and hope, yellow is resources and faith, red honors those who fought for independence, and the star is peace.
Did you know? Some say the designer used the golden ratio, a famous number in art and nature, to shape the flag.
