New Year's coloring pages

About these new year's pages

New Year's Eve is a late night for little ones, and coloring is a good way to fill the hours before the countdown. The easy pages (party hats and balloons, a clock striking midnight) have bold shapes for ages 3 to 6. The medium pages show fireworks over a city skyline and a New Year's party, and the detailed firework mandala is for older kids and adults.

Fireworks stand out on paper when you color them in bright colors and leave the background white, or go the other way: color the sky dark blue or black and leave the bursts white or yellow. Metallic gel pens make the sparkles stand out.

A simple tradition to try: print a page on New Year's Day and have everyone write one wish or goal for the year in the corner. For more winter pages, see the winter collection.
