About these penguin pages

Penguins are a favorite winter animal, and these pages show them waddling, sliding, skating and diving. The easy pages (a baby penguin, a penguin on an ice floe, a penguin with a fish) have bold lines for ages 3 to 6. The medium pages show a penguin family, penguins sliding on their bellies and diving into the sea, and the detailed emperor penguin is for older kids and adults.

Penguins are mostly black and white, which makes them easy to color, but emperor penguins have a patch of yellow-orange on the neck and ears. Baby emperor chicks are fluffy gray with a white face, which is a fun detail to point out.
